Maya Sophia Kehren sings, writes, and composes — and she does it with all her heart.

By making the good decision to turn her passion into her career, Maya has found her voice mostly in Jazz. But she’s always finding ways to blend her sound with Reggae, R&B, and Pop, creating something fresh and unique.​

Everything is allowed. After all, love speaks every language...​

Maya writes and composes for her band MAYA and puts her heart into everything that wants to be brought to life.

She studied Jazz and Pop Music with a focus on Vocals at the ArtEZ University of the Arts in Arnhem, where she learned from mentors like Ineke van Doorn, Jolande Geven, and Henk Kraaijeveld.

Thanks to her versatility and ability to move effortlessly between genres, Maya is also involved in several other band projects and session series, like Little Planet Band, Cologne Drum Armada, and the European Jazz Project.
